Periodically, M1 Global has Medieval events, where fighters don Medieval armor, shields, and blunt swords, and compete in an MMA style event.
The modern day gladiator showdown is certainly a spectacle, however fights frequently get rather brutal, as you can see in the highlight footage below from an M1 Medieval scrap this morning:
