Not only did Rafael dos Anjos dominate the former champion Anthony Pettis for twenty-five straight minutes, but he did it with a blown MCL!

Dana White confirmed the rumors at the start of the UFC 185 post fight press conference. White stated, “Apparently… two weeks ago, Rafael dos Anjos blew out his MCL and fought tonight with a blown MCL.”

White joked, “Just my luck. Guy who wins the title is hurt…”

Rafael dos Anjos has yet to seek doctor’s attention for the injury and does not officially know if he will need surgery, though he stated he doesn’t think he will.
