UFC president Dana White isn’t concerned with champion Chris Weidman’s star power just yet.

The boss talked to UFC.COM about the middleweight champion and said that former champ Anderson Silva really didn’t get super big until he beat Vitro Belfort, the same man that Weidman just finished last week.

White thinks that maybe Belfort will do that for Weidman too. Poor Belfort.

“It takes time. You look at Anderson Silva and how long it took for him to even resonate. He really blew up after he beat Vitor, so maybe Vitor is the launching pad for all these guys.”
