A welterweight bout between two of the UFC’s elite is reportedly in the works for the their upcoming return to Montreal in April.

Multiple reports are indicating that both Rory MacDonald and Hector Lombard have agreed to fight, however the UFC is stopping short of announcing this bout as official.

UFC 186 is set to go down from the Bell Centre, on April 25.

Rory MacDonald was recently passed up for a title shot in favor of a trilogy match between Johny Hendricks and Robbie Lawler. The GSP protegé is the division’s true number 1 contender.

Lombard has been on a tear since entering the UFC’s welterweight division, going 3-0 since making the drop.
