On this day 5 years ago our very own BJ Penn collided with former UFC welterweight champion Matt Hughes for the 3rd time inside the Octagon.

Penn knocked out Hughes in the very first round, earning him knockout of the night honors.

After the loss Hughes went on to fight one more time before retiring from the sport.
