UFC president Dana White appeared on UFC Tonight and mentioned that they were looking at Alexander Gustafsson for Daniel Cormier’s first title challenger and now it has been confirmed.

After the show, UFCespanol.com confirmed that ‘The Mauler’ will in fact get a title shot. It was first thought that they would be the main event at UFC 191, but those reports weren’t accurate.
