Following his dominant, double-bonus earning win over Jimi Manuwa, Alexander Gustafsson was confirmed as the next title challenger in the UFC’s light-heavyweight division.
“If Jones wins, we have a nasty rematch,” UFC President Dana White said at today’s post-fight press conference. “If he doesn’t, then it’s [Gustafsson] and Glover Teixeira.”
Gustafsson faced Jon Jones in a previous title fight last year at UFC 165. He lost the fight via decision, but after five-hard-rounds many believe it was the Swede that deserved victory.
