According to MMA and combat sports legal website Combat Sports Law, California is trying to up the ante for those athletes caught using PEDs.

The report says that the California Senate Bill 469 passed a recent vote and will move further towards getting passed. In the bill, it states that the California State Athletic Commission’s penalty for failing a drug test will result in 40% of the fighters purse. This is would be a likely increase from the current $2,500.
