VIDEO | Ronda Rousey snaps at interviewer after poorly-worded question

Ronda Rousey

Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, who is now a member of the WWE roster, is probably retired from mixed martial arts. That said, the former champ has yet to give a straight answer on this subject, which has given many an interviewer hope that they might finally coax her into a definitive statement on her fighting future.

That’s just what Mike Golic attempted to do on a recent episode of the Golic and Wingo show. Unfortunately, he worded his question with the eloquence of a drunk. Rousey, who was clearly not impressed, then replied rather venomously, which resulted in a sequence you really need to witness.

“Let’s go back and start with when you knew – from the MMA – when you were done there,” Golic began clumsily. “When you knew in your mind ‘I’m not going to fight anymore…’”

“I never said that,” Rousey replied firmly.

“Aaah,” Golic responded, as though he had solved a difficult riddle. “So there is a possibility that you could go back in time?”

“There’s a possibility that I could go back in time?” Rousey hissed back, brows contorted. “That’s your question to me?”

“Go back in time and fight,” Golic clarified. “Go back in the Octagon.”

“I do not have the ability to go back in time, no,” Rousey sassed.

Needless to say, Rousey’s future interviewers would be wise to make sure they word their questions clearly. Also, in case anyone was wondering, the former champ is not capable of time travel.

Ronda Rousey has not fought since December of 2016, when she succumbed to a first-round knockout at the hands of reigning champion Amanda Nunes. This defeat was preceded by another knockout loss, this time courtesy of Holly Holm’s shin.

Rousey will partake in her first WWE match at WrestleMania 34 on April 8. Will you be tuning in to watch? Join the conversation in the comments section below.
