Saturday night in Las Vegas at UFC 209, fight fans will tune in for an action packed night of fights which will feature two title fights. In the main event, UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley will step into the Octagon with welterweight #1 contender Stephen Thompson for a highly anticipated rematch several months in the making. In the co-main event, undefeated Dagestani lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov will step into the Octagon with Tony Ferguson for a highly anticipated interim lightweight title fight that will see one man leave the interim champion, with a title unification fight with Conor McGregor secured.

In the videos above, you can watch as both pairs of men come face to face for staredowns.

Unsurprisingly, Nurmagomedov and Ferguson had a rather heated staredown following several weeks of trash talk from both men leading up to the fight. Fortunately, UFC President Dana White was there to mediate the staredown so things didn’t get out of hand. When these two come face to face once again on Friday afternoon for their final staredown before fight night, fight fans can expect and even more intense staredown.

The main event staredown between Tyron Woodley and Stephen Thompson was of course intense, however the two men have shown infrequent signs of actually getting along on several occasions, including their last staredown, where the two men began to laugh when they came face to face. With that being said, things became slightly tense during an interview earlier in the day. With that being said of course, things became rather lighthearted when Thompson made the champ laugh as he proclaimed that ‘The Chosen One’ was “mean” to him.

Regardless of occasional jokes, when the cage door closes, Woodley and Thompson will of course be all business.
