It has been nearly 4 months since Jose Aldo lost his UFC featherweight championship at the hands of Conor McGregor back at UFC 194.

While Aldo doesn’t currently have a fight booked inside the Octagon, he has been campaigning for a rematch with McGregor at UFC 200. With that being said, the UFC has reportedly issued contracts to both Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz for a welterweight rematch at UFC 200, leaving Aldo on the sidelines.

While many believe Aldo deserves a rematch given his 5-year reign as UFC champion, the former champ turned down a short-notice rematch with McGregor at UFC 196 after Rafael dos Anjos backed out of the fight.
