The next UFC middleweight fight could be a matchup between the champion Michael Bisping and freshly updated #1 UFC ranked contender, Yoel Romero.

Following Romero’s destruction of Chris Weidman at UFC 205 in New York this past weekend, the two possible opponents shared a moment during Romero’s post-fight Octagon interview.

Joe Rogan was there to interview Romero as Bisping was up in the UFC on FOX booth working as a host recapping the fights.

In the exchange, Bisping flipped Romero the middle finger while Romero told Bisping that he loved him.

Bisping had stated prior to UFC 205 that he would not like to fight Romero because the contender previously tested positive for a banned substance and has said that he does not want to fight with any opponent that has a history of cheating.

However, on a recent episode of his podcast, The Countdown with Michael Bisping, he expressed that a fight with Romero does, in fact, interest him.

“Listen, I always say I’ve never ducked anyone in my life, and I never will,” Bisping said on his podcast. “Now, I’m not saying no to Yoel because, believe it or not, after beating Weidman like that, yeah, I do fancy that [fight].”

This surely has Yoel Romero excited as he is looking to get a chance to step into the Octagon with a chance to win a title.

“Yoel is a super athlete,” Rogan said on his Joe Rogan Experience podcast. “He doesn’t have any limitations in his range of motion. He’s ridiculously flexible. He does like a half split before he fights. He was over there like stretching out. This guy’s range of motion is insane.”

Although Rogan gives praise to Romero, he does state that the #1 UFC ranked middleweight has had some very controversial moments in the Octagon that he states is just plain cheating. Romero’s win over Tim Kennedy has not gone without controversy and with pouring water all over himself in the fight with Weidman, Rogan has stated that there are issues with Romero and his conduct in between rounds.
