Ben Askren: “Colby [Covington]. I want to fight Colby. Nobody likes Colby. Literally nobody. Listen, not just like in the fake world in Twitter, social media, because social media and Twitter…that’s kind of like…kind of a fake universe. It’s not really reality, right? But in the real world, nobody likes Colby.
He doesn’t have friends. I don’t even know if his mom likes him. Nobody likes this guy. Me included, I want to beat him up. Simple as that.
*turns around* That guy doesn’t like Colby. Watch, hey do you like Colby?”

For his upcoming UFC debut at UFC 233 on January 26 in Anaheim, California, the former ONE Championship and Bellator welterweight champion Ben Askren won’t be facing off with Colby Covington. But he sure wouldn’t have minded doing so.
As Askren hasn’t been all too shy about letting Covington know how he feels about him, Covington hasn’t been shy to let Askren know how he feels about him either.
The two don’t like each other which makes an inevitable fight almost feel like a guarantee depending on how things shake out when looking at their respective paths.
For the undefeated 18-0 ‘Funky’ Ben Askren, he will be debuting for the promotion against former UFC champion, ‘Ruthless’ Robbie Lawler at UFC 233.
The current interim champion in Covington has also been discussing having his eventual unification bout against current undisputed champion and teammate of Askren’s, Tyron Woodley, at that very same event.
Depending on how things play out, we could very well end up seeing Covington vs Askren for the UFC title at some point.
