There were rumors floating around on social media in the days before UFC 238 that Henry Cejudo has been injured, which would put his vacant bantamweight title fight against Marlon Moraes on Saturday in jeopardy.

However, the UFC flyweight champion nixed those rumors as false.

“No, absolutely not,” Cejudo said (via MMAjunkie.com). “I’m good, I’m strong, I’m healthy. I don’t know where that came from.”

Cejudo then went on to do jumping jacks for the media to prove that he’s healthy, putting fans, media and the UFC brass at ease just two days before his big fight against Moraes.

However, where there’s smoke there’s often fire. Though Henry Cejudo initially denied any sort of injury, he later admitted to the media that he did have an incident, but that it’s not a big deal and doesn’t affect the status of his fight against Moraes.

“I did have a little bump on my knee, my right knee,” Cejudo said. “I hit the edge of the damn corner. It hurt. That’s it.”

According to the man himself, though, the injury isn’t anything to worry about, so as of right now, the UFC 238 main event is still on.

However, in a worst-case scenario where Cejudo’s knee acts up and he has to withdraw from the fight, the UFC has protected itself by putting a number of other bantamweights on the card. Should anything happen to Henry Cejudo, or Marlon Moraes for that matter, the UFC could easily insert Petr Yan, Aljamain Sterling, Pedro Munhoz or even Jimmie Rivera into the title fight slot. It appears the UFC has learned from its mistakes in the past by having a backup plan just in case someone gets hurt at the last minute.

But at this point, fans shouldn’t worry too much, because Henry Cejudo says he’s fine. As of right now, Cejudo vs. Moraes is one, but if anything changes you know we will have you covered right here at BJPenn.com.
