MMA Community reacts to Alexander Volkov finishing Fabricio Werdum!
UFC heavyweight Alexander Volkov picked up the biggest win of his mixed martial arts career today in London, scoring a fourth-round knockout victory over former division champion Fabricio Werdum in the main event of UFC Fight Night 127.
Werdum had a strong opening two rounds but began to fade in round three.
In round four Volkov was able to drop Werdum with a punch and promptly finished the fight with some ground and pound.

If I was in charge of the Bellator twitter account I’d be taking a page out of the success of the UMBC account last night and getting all sassy about the fact that Volkov was a Bellator tournament champ 4 years ago. Live it up.

Not the first time this week a Russian took someone out in England. #UFCLondon

Tonight we had Dmitriy Sosnovskiy win in the curtain jerker who hails from the USSR and Alexander Volkov who closed the show in the main event who hails from Russia. #UFCLondon

Been a while since we’ve had so many fresh faces at heavyweight: Volkov, Blaydes, Tuivasa, Ngannou (not writing him off for a sec). UFC matchmaker Mick Maynard deserves a lot of credit.

Volkov just stopped Werdum.
This is the guy who was outwrestled by Cheick Kongo.
Love seeing the young guys improve.
Blaydes, Tuivasa, Volkov. Here come the young guns.

Great KO, but almost no crowd reaction. It's almost like the people in London weren't rooting for the Russian guy or the Brazilian guy. #UFCLondon

Have always liked Werdum but I like Volkov too & it's great to see new blood atop HW which is just what it needs. When Volkov let's his hands go, he's one of the best. His combo of precision & power is 👌👌#UFCLondon

Yeah, Werdum didn't look in his usual shape, or his usual self. #UFCLondon https://t.co/jnhFW7aKwA
