Judo bronze medal winner Ronda Rousey reacts to Kayla Harrison winning second gold medal

Kayla Harrison became the first U.S. athlete out of both men and women to win a gold medal in judo at the 2012 Olympics in London.

On Thursday, Harrison defeated Audrey Tcheumeo of France in the final round of the 78-kilogram weight class to win her second gold medal.

Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey was the first U.S. woman to win a medal in judo back in 2008, securing the bronze medal and then went on to become a huge success in mixed martial arts.

Rousey posted a congratulations to her former roommate, teammate via social media and said, “Congrats to @judo_kayla winning her second Olympic gold medal in judo today🏅”
