#6 Nate Diaz took to twiiter to make his statement known that he’s gunning for the #1 lightweight Eddie Alvarez. Alvarez put two wins together after his 2014 loss to Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone.

Diaz shot back into the title picture after his unanimous decision victory over #7 Michael “The Menace” Johnson. The Stockton native’s last loss came against Rafael dos Anjos in 2014.

Would a winning scrap against Alvarez position Diaz into a rematch/title shot opportunity?
