Former UFC heavyweight Matt Mitrione, now fighting under the Bellator MMA promotion is no stranger to freak injuries.
In his last controversial fight in the UFC against Travis Browne at UFC Fight Night 81, Mitrione suffered a gruesome eye injury that was hard to look at.
Now, “Meathead” claims that he has injured himself with a hammer in the most painful way possible.
Mitrione tweeted, “Don’t ask how, but I just hit myself in the nuts with a hammer. Holy Jesus that hurts. And yes, I immediately thought about tweeting it.”

Mitrione followed up with another tweet saying, “Yeah, I’m pretty disappointed in myself after that one.”
