Is the UFC not allowing Georges St-Pierre back in the Octagon?

GSP takes a break between rounds

Former UFC welterweight kingpin Georges St-Pierre has not fought since November 2013.

After taking what he says was a much needed break from fighting, “Rush” says that he is ready to get back into the Octagon to further build on his legacy.

St-Pierre appeared on FS1’s “UFC Tonight” show on Wednesday and had some interesting things to say.

St-Pierre said, “I want to come back. They [the UFC] know my terms I want. Trust me, I’m very reasonable so it’s up to them.”

GSP also said that the time off has given him more time to focus and feels that he is even better. “I needed some time out of the spotlight,” St-Pierre said. “In training I know that I’m a much better version than I was before.”

St-Pierre also said that his return will not just be for a single superfight, but multiple fights in the UFC.

As for what fights he is looking at in the UFC, GSP dropped some of the big names in the welterweight division where he once dominated his competition. “Tyron Woodley, Nick Diaz and Demian Maia. These guys can elevate me,” said St-Pierre.

Now, it all seems as if the ball is in the UFC’s court.
