Conor McGregor shocked the MMA Universe earlier today when he took to Twitter to announce his retirement from the sport.
The current UFC featherweight champion was supposed to rematch Nate Diaz in the headlining bout of UFC 200 this July in Las Vegas.
The UFC has yet to release a statement on McGregor’s retirement, but many fighters took to Twitter to share their respective opinions on the matter:
I have decided to retire young.
Thanks for the cheese.
