The UFC bantamweight division had a new contender rise up after this weekend’s fights at UFC Fight Night 88.
Cody Garbrandt knocked out Thomas Almeida in the very first round of their fight, shooting him up the rankings of the UFC bantamweight division. Garbrandt stated that he is looking to become the UFC world champion, but his teammate and mentor Urijah Faber gets his shot against champion Dominick Cruz this weekend at UFC 199.
Garbrandt and Cruz got into a bit of a quarrel on twitter, which will only get more aggressive if both continue winning.

Cruz replied: “.@Cody_Nolove all I Hve stated is ur boy Faber would BEAT you IF u two fought.YOU said the rest. Get ur emotions together “no love”
