Last night, in the main event of the UFC’s long awaited debut in the fight hub of Fresno, California, surging featherweight contender Brian Ortega stepped into the cage for the biggest test of his career: a battle with the ever-dangerous Cub Swanson.
After a competitive first round, Ortega found the win he sought, locking up a standing guillotine as the second round wore down, and forcing the tap in the subsequent seconds.
With this win, Ortega moved to a fantastic 12-0 overall, and established himself as one of the top contenders in the action-packed UFC featherweight division – though he might still be behind Frankie Edgar.
Needless to say, Brian Ortega’s career-changing win generated plenty of excitement among the MMA community.
