In just 31-seconds Rousimar Palhares completely destroyed his career as a prize-fighter.

The 33-year old Brazilian has cranked one-too-many leg locks beyond the acceptable limit and now he’s lost his job and according to Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney, a shot with the emerging second best MMA promotion in the world.

“Risks already exist for the courageous, world class fighters who enter the Bellator cage; without adding further unnecessary risks into the mix,” Said Rebney.

“Fighter safety is paramount to me and my team.”
