The highly anticipated rematch between Canelo Alvarez 49-1-2 (34 KOs) and Gennady Golovkin 38-0-1 (34 KOs) took place tonight live from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
The pair first met in September of 2017 and after with the fight ending in a highly controversial split-draw.
Unfortunately tonight’s rematch didn’t deliver a decisive winner, but it did give fight fans one of the greatest boxing matches in the history of the sport.
After twelve rounds of amazing back and forth action, Canelo Alvarez was awarded a majority decision victory by the judges in attendance.
The first judge called the fight a draw 114-114, with the other two judges scoring the fight in favor of Canelo Alvarez 115-113.
