After going on an eight-fight win streak in the UFC starting back in January 2014, Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone was derailed in his title fight with lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos in 66 seconds over the weekend.
Cerrone has had few things to say on his second loss to dos Anjos but congratulated the champion on a job well done.
“Cowboy” was looking to take the lightweight title home with him after Saturday night for his terminally ill grandmother, which the touching story can be seen in the video below. Unfortunately for Cerrone, it didn’t go his way.
Cerrone posted the first photo to his social media account since his title fight loss on Saturday night. The photo says it all with no caption from Cerrone. Just a man with a smile with his grandmother letting everyone know that they are both ok with the loss.
