News broke earlier this week that UFC women’s bantamweight Valentina Shevchenko was at a chicken shop in Peru when an armed robbery took place. Without missing a beat, Shevchenko’s coach left into action, pulling out a firearm and shooting one of the robbers. Unfortunately, he was also his by return fire from the men, and was rushed to the hospital.
Shevchenko is currently slated to fight Holly Holm at ‘UFC on FOX Chicago’ in July, however there’s been no word yet on whether she will remain on the card following the incident.
UFC President Dana White spoke to TMZ Sports to discuss the situation.
