Now 1-0 as a pro boxer, Ross Pearson retired from the UFC last month following a 2-fight skid against Desmond Green and John Makdessi. He intends on utilizing his striking ability to establish a winning career in the sport of boxing.

Pearson said to SportingNew.com.au: “I can fight anyone. I’ve got all the punches and durability, and now it’s about learning the sport – the combinations, patterns and timing of the fight.”

His debut win is a promising start and signals the possibility of longevity in boxing. His fearless attitude and decade long career in the UFC indicates we will be seeing many more boxing appearances.

This boxing match wasn’t a one-off, like it seems to have been for Conor McGregor, Pearson told Foxsports.com.au.

“After fighting in the UFC for many years, I fear no man — this won’t be a one-off appearance like Conor McGregor,” he said. “I aim to conquer the sport by destroying anybody that steps into the ring with me.”

How do you think Ross Pearson will perform in the sport of boxing?
