Allen Crowder on Greg Hardy and the UFC: ‘It’s up to me to put a stop to what they’re trying to do’

Allen Crowder, Greg Hardy

The UFC debut of former NFL player Greg Hardy was always going to be controversial, given his history of domestic violence. Yet it’s hard to imagine the UFC making a more controversial choice than scheduling Hardy’s debut for UFC on ESPN+, which will also include Rachael Ostovich, who was the victim of domestic violence mere weeks ago.

On this January 19 card, the former football player Greg Hardy is expected to battle Allen Crowder, who recently lost his UFC debut to Justin Willis. Like many members of the MMA community, Crowder has a hard time comprehending the UFC’s choice to put Hardy on the same card as Ostovich.

That being said, he relishes the opportunity to derail the Greg Hardy hype train.

“The UFC, they’re all about making that money, and I highly doubt whoever done this thought about her,” Crowder told MMAjunkie recently. “There is a chance they didn’t think about her, and that’s just totally wrong, especially after what she just went through.

“Really, it’s up to me to put a stop to what they’re trying to do and set a good example and show you’re not supposed to beat women, and give him a good lesson learned,” he continued.

“It’s working out good for me,” he added. “I need this fight, and I really want to fight in Brooklyn. I wouldn’t change the card. I’d love to give the ass-whooping he’s about to get.”

Needless to say, Allen Crowder is expecting a decisive victory over Greg Hardy this January.

“I see him gassing out and me finishing him with elbows,” he said, offering a prediction for the bout.
