Current UFC bantamweight kingpin T.J. Dillashaw (16-3 MMA) will be dropping down to flyweight to challenge newly crowned 125-pound champ Henry Cejudo at UFC Fight Night 143 on January 19 in Brooklyn.
Dillashaw will enter his title fight with the former Olympic Gold medalist on a four-fight win streak. TJ’s most recent wins came against Cody Garbrandt who he knocked out at both UFC 217 and UFC 227.
Having finally rid himself of his former teammate turned bitter rival “No Love“, T.J. Dillashaw is now focused on becoming the promotions third male “champ champ”.
Only two men have held two UFC championships simultaneously. The first to do it was Conor McGregor at UFC 205, the second was Daniel Cormier at UFC 226.
Most recently, Amanda Nunes became the UFC’s first ever women’s “champ champ” by knocking out Cris Cyrborg in stunning fashion at UFC 232.
T.J. Dillashaw is more than capable of defeating any fighter who competes in the neighborhood of his natural weight class of 135-pounds.
“Killashaw” has proven himself to be one of the top pound-for-pound fighters in the sport. T.J. is very well rounded and possesses incredible stand-up technique after years of training with Duane Ludwig.
The biggest concern most fans have with T.J. Dillashaw fighting Henry Cejudo is that the bantamweight champ has to cut down to flyweight.
This will mark the first time that T.J. has competed at flyweight and fight fans are very interested to see how that will play into his upcoming battle with Cejudo.
A photo of T.J. Dillashaw recently surfaced that appears to show a noticable change in the champs physical appearance.

While T.J. Dillashaw looks to be in phenomenal shape (as always), the bantamweight king does appear to sporting the effects of his move down to flyweight.
