Yesterday afternoon, news surfaced that Valentina Shevchenko and Sijara Eubanks are likely to battle for the vacant UFC women’s flyweight title in the main event of UFC 230 on November 3. To say the fan reaction was mostly negative would be an understand.
On social media, all but a few fans trashed this UFC 230 main event, many of whom felt that Dustin Poirier and Nate Diaz should have been allowed to fight for the 165-pound title instead.
It appears UFC color commentator Joe Rogan had the same reaction as many fans. In fact, he claims he doesn’t even know who Sijara Eubanks is.

“What?!” Joe Rogan said on his podcast (transcript via MMA Fighting). “No offense but I don’t even know who Sijara Eubanks is and I’m the commentator for the UFC.”
Brendan Schaub, who was in studio with Rogan, echoed the UFC commentator’s feelings.
“That’s gonna headline Madison Square Garden?!” Schaub said. “I’ve lost all energy in my body. Oh yeah, that gets my d*ck harder than Dustin Poirier vs. Nate Diaz for the 165-pound title.
“I’ve never heard of her, and I’m not being a d*ck either. I’m just saying, as far as headlining Madison Square Garden, you’ve got some nerve putting this together.”
While these comments from Joe Rogan and Brendan Schaub seem like the kind that would come as quite disrespectful to Sijara Eubanks, she’s not buying them.
She believes the Rogan knows who she is, and says she’ll happily remind him if he doesn’t.
She reacted to these comments on Twitter.

@joerogan I’ll give you a little refresher next time you’re in jersey. We’ll train some BJJ and you’ll never forget me again Hahhaa Or you and the rest of the world can tune in Nov 3 and watch history. The Eubanks name will never be overlooked again
