Former UFC welterweight champion Matt Serra is currently in Las Vegas, where he’s waiting to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame. During his stay in Sin City, Serra encountered an out-of-control debaucher, who he promptly took down, restrained, and handed over to security.
Watch Serra subdue this troublesome drunk in the video at the top of this post, which was shared by UFC President Dana White.
“Tonight [Matt Serra] gets inducted into the UFC HOF,” White said in the caption for this hilarious video. “Last night he was handling drunk idiots at Red Rock. [Lorenzo Fertitta] here is the new head of security.
Matt Serra, who is now a coach to many UFC stars and the co-host of the UFC Unfiltered Podcast, retired from competition after a 2010 loss to Chris Lytle. Serra, who won season four of the Ultimate Fighter, is best remembered for his history-making upset of then UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre. Serra fans will also remember his rivalry with Matt Hughes, and victories over Yves Edwards, Chris Lytle and Frank Trigg.
What do you think of Matt Serra’s vigilante takedown of this drunk in Las Vegas? He gives Batman a run for his money, doesn’t he?
