Earlier this weekend, former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones expressed interest in participating in a grappling match while he waits for his USADA situation to get sorted out.

“I’d be so down,” Jones said on Twitter when asked by a fan if he’d like to participated at another of Chael Sonnen’s Submission Underground shows. “@FloGrappling who’s trying to get tapped out?”

Not long thereafter, grappling ace and current Bellator MMA star Dillon Danis threw his name in the hat, assuring that he’d make quick work of Jones if they met in grappling competition. Oh, and he’d tap former UFC heavyweight champ Brock Lesnar in the same night.

“I could submit you and [Brock] Lesnar in the same night,” Danis said in response to Jones, in a Tweet that he subsequently deleted.

Jones did not initially respond to this Tweet from Danis, but late on Sunday night, he fired back. And he did not hold back.

“Dude you want to just suck my d*ck already and get it over with?” the former UFC light heavyweight champion said to Danis, in a Tweet that has also been deleted.

To remind, Jon Jones has been called out by Dillon Danis before. In 2016, Danis made several calls for a grappling match with Jones, though the bout never came to fruition.

“He wants to step into my realm, but he doesn’t understand,” Danis told The Mac Life in 2016. “I would play with him. My jiu-jitsu is a different level. Let’s be honest, Dan [Henderson] is about 45-years old and has two submissions out of 47 fights, but [Jones’ performance] was OK, I guess.”

“He’ll need to beg me. I don’t show up for just anybody,” Danis added.

Does a grappling match between Jon Jones and Dillon Danis interest you? Who do you think would come out on top?
