VIDEO | Alexander Emelianenko KO’s Gabriel Gonzaga in Russia
Alexander Emelianenko (26-6 MMA) extended his current win streak to four in a row at last night’s Russian Cagefighting Championship 2 event scoring a second-round knockout victory over former UFC heavyweight title challenger Gabriel Gonzaga.
After spending most of the first-round on his back, Emelianenko was able to turn the tide in round two by unloading a plethora of punches on his Brazilian opponent.
Gonzaga attempted to cover up and weather the onslaught but Alexander was able to sneak through a knee which landed flush and sent Gabriel crashing to the canvas. That strike prompted the referee to step in and call a stop to the action.

Since suffering the first two fight losing skid of his career in early 2014, “The Grim Reaper” has since gone 4-0 with all four victories coming by way of knockout/TKO.
Alexander’s knockout win comes shortly after his brother Fedor accomplished the same feat by finishing former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir at last month’s Bellator 198 event.
