Former kickboxing world champion Gokhan Saki made his highly anticipated octagon debut at last night’s UFC Fight Night 117 event in Japan.
The feared striker, Saki, lived up to the hype scoring a first-round knockout victory over his opponent Luis Henrique da Silva.
After a wild opening few minutes, Saki caught Da Silva with a beautifully timed left hand that sent the Brazilian crashing to the floor.
The referee instantly stepped in to stop the contest before Saki could proceed with any form of further punishment.
Saki’s impressive debut sparked tons of praise from his fellow fighters and even a reaction from UFC President Dana White.
