Tyron Woodley blasts Conor McGregor for Twitter comments

Friday morning, both UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor & UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley hit the scales for their respective UFC 205 scraps tomorrow night. While both men are slated to fight different opponents, one would think the pair are slated to fight each other. Backstage footage showed Woodley walking into the room, and McGregor eyeing him down. When Woodley noticed what McGregor was doing, he appeared to say something to him before walking off.

Following the footage emerging of the situation, Woodley revealed on Twitter that he said “what’s up” to McGregor, which prompted the featherweight champ to try “to flex” according to Woodley. He finished his explanation by saying that he made McGregor realize it was a “no flex zone” and that “some of us are really about that life!” That didn’t sit too well with McGregor who was quick to call Woodley a “twitter bitch”, claiming that the champ would do nothing.

Woodley then responded by sending a stern warning to McGregor, saying:

Of course, this prompted McGregor to respond with:

That didn’t sit well with Woodley, who then proceeded to put McGregor on blast:

McGregor of course is slated to fight Eddie Alvarez in the main event of the card, where he hopes to not only earn the lightweight championship, but also make UFC history as the first simultaneous two-division UFC champ. Woodley on the other hand is gearing up for his first title defense since winning the belt from Robbie Lawler at UFC 201 earlier this year. He will be stepping into the Octagon in the co-main event to fight Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson.
