\nUFC 156 has concluded and the “Super Saturday” event had it’s mix of highs and lows.<\/p>\n

The flyweights kicked off the main card with an exciting back and forth bout between Joseph Benavidez and Ian McCall. After three fast paced rounds the Team Alpha Male product did enough to earn a decision victory.<\/p>\n

In the second bout, Demian Maia out “Fitched” Jon Fitch, and in what many will consider a lackluster fight, bested the longtime decision stand-out to earn a very one-sided unanimous decision victory.<\/p>\n

The return of Overeem hit a road block in the form of Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva and as a result the man once dominant over two-combat sports suffered a TKO loss in the third frame of action. To his credit, “Bigfoot” delivered the only finishing performance on the pay-per-view portion of the card.<\/p>\n

The co-main event between Rashad Evans and “Lil Nog” won’t go down in the history books anytime soon, but the Brazilian did enough to earn a judges decision in a fight most won’t remember by the morning.<\/p>\n

Finally, in the main event of the evening, Frankie Edgar gave Jose Aldo all he could handle and after a pretty fairly paced five-rounds Aldo did enough to keep his title.<\/p>\n
