After that, Dana White announced <a href=\"http:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/mma-news\/dana-white\/dana-white-cancels-ufc-279-press-conference-after-all-hell-broke-loose-backstage-this-has-never-happened-in-the-history-of-the-company\/\">the event was canceled as it was a s**tshow backstage<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Yeah, this ain&#8217;t gonna happen, I apologize, everybody, I am in very weird waters here. This has never happened in the history of the company. Trust me when I tell you, this was the right decision not to do this press conference right now. (Crowd boos) I hear ya, I&#8217;m with ya but for everybody&#8217;s safety this is the right decision, alright, I apologize. Thanks for coming,&#8221; White said to the crowd who attended the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/UFC_CA\/status\/1568021451860758528\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UFC 279 press conference<\/a>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There was multiple, crazy, I don&#8217;t even know what to call it. However many years, 22 years, however long I&#8217;ve been doing this, we&#8217;ve never had an incident like today,&#8221; White added backstage. &#8220;All hell broke loose out here. I don&#8217;t even know, we stopped it but we didn&#8217;t do a good job of not letting it happen.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Immediately, many wanted to see a video of what happened backstage at the UFC 279 press conference. The UFC <a href=\"http:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/mma-news\/nate-diaz\/ufc-shares-footage-of-the-unpredictable-series-of-events-that-led-to-the-ufc-279-press-conference-cancellation\/\">released some video on fight day<\/a> but Nate Diaz <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=YXm_-EKXaps&amp;ab_channel=NateDiaz\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">released his vlog on his YouTube channel<\/a> that showed more of the scuffle.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"UFC 279 Road 2 War: Vlog 2\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/YXm_-EKXaps?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In the video, it doesn&#8217;t seem like it got too out of hand as Kevin Holland and Khamzat Chimaev got into it while Nate Diaz threw a water bottle.
