The 29-year-old holds a 12-1 pro record in mixed martial arts and following his win over Jornel Lugo, he&#8217;s set himself up nicely for a strong run toward the title at 135 pounds.<\/p>\n<p>Ahead of his meeting with Leandro Higo on Friday night, Sabatello has used an interview on The MMA Hour to big up the state of Bellator&#8217;s bantamweight ranks.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Danny Sabatello: Lots of These MMA Fans Are Idiots - MMA Fighting\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/aUrzuiEzMEI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cWhat division am I in? That one,\u201d Sabatello said. \u201cBellator. We have the f****** best division in MMA, regardless of the f****** promotion. You look at our division, it\u2019s so f****** packed with guys. And then obviously, I\u2019m there, I\u2019m the best bantamweight on the planet, so Bellator\u2019s the best.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cBut I really do think in terms of depth, our top-8 are better than any other promotion\u2019s top-8, no matter if it\u2019s UFC, PFL, ONE, whatever the f*** you want. Bellator\u2019s bantamweight division is the best, and that\u2019s why I\u2019m so pumped about this f****** tournament is because once I win this tournament, I\u2019ll be recognized as the best bantamweight in the world, regardless of the promotion. Bellator\u2019s bantamweight division is getting talked about a lot, and it should just because it\u2019s the best in MMA.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"FrHyk1\">\u201cDude, I would kill Aljamain [Sterling],\u201d Sabatello said. \u201cThat\u2019s a fight that, obviously, I can\u2019t call out these UFC guys because I\u2019m just not going to fight them any time soon \u2013 I\u2019m in Bellator, it would be silly to call them out. I would f*** Aljamain up. That\u2019s an easy fight stylistically. Look at it stylistically, that\u2019s a fight that I would f*** him up in. But obviously, I just want to stick to Bellator right now. Those guys are on my plate, but Aljamain that\u2019s an easy fight. That\u2019s an easier fight then Higo or Stots or any of these guys.
