Daniel Cormier has responded to Conor McGregor.<\/p>\n

McGregor has taken some shots at Cormier on social media<\/a>\u00a0recently, this after \u2018DC\u2019 labelled some of his posts as being \u201ca cry for help\u201d. He also criticized Cormier for suggesting Dustin Poirier was checking his kicks in their trilogy fight at UFC 264.<\/p>\n

Now, on Cormier’s show with former NFL player, Ryan Clark, he blasted McGregor for continuing to take shots at him despite being retired.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s much easier for me, because I work at ESPN,\u201d Cormier said about McGregor on his video podcast, DC and RC<\/a>\u00a0(via MMAFighting<\/a>). \u201cWe have a department that does that, that can get every one of the kicks that Conor did get checked.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo McGregor, listen to me bud. Stop worrying about me. Don\u2019t worry about Daniel Cormier. Don\u2019t worry about the things that I\u2019m saying,” Cormier continued. “Don\u2019t worry about how I\u2019m dressing and how I\u2019m looking. Don\u2019t do that. Worry about the dudes that keep beating your ass every time you go into the Octagon. I\u2019m not the guy you\u2019ve got to worry about fighting. I\u2019m done. I\u2019m retired. I\u2019m living my best life. You need to worry about trying to beat the guys that you fight against. Get off the internet. I don\u2019t hate this dude, but McGregor, fall back.\u201d<\/p>\n

Conor McGregor, of course, is on a two-fight losing streak after dropping back-to-back fights with Dustin Poirier. In July, they had their highly-anticipated trilogy, and unfortunately, the Irishman broke his leg. In January, he suffered a second-round KO loss at the hands of Poirier.<\/p>\n

Given he has lost back-to-back fights, as Cormier pointed out, McGregor needs to focus on potential opponents and getting back to the top of the lightweight division and be a UFC champ again.<\/p>\n
