She messaged me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Espinosa then replied: You don\u2019t know the whole story.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Elliott concluded by stating: \u201cI know enough.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Well, this was interesting. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/NvhpmBtIJa\">pic.twitter.com\/NvhpmBtIJa<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; MS (@UFC_Obsessed) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/UFC_Obsessed\/status\/1368364739961626626?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 7, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Elliott noted in his post-fight press conference that he&#8217;d received a message on Facebook containing pictures of a woman with choke marks on her neck. Espinosa\u2019s manager, Bryan Hamper of SuckerPunch Ent., issued the following statement to <a href=\"https:\/\/mmajunkie.usatoday.com\/2021\/03\/ufc-259-tim-elliott-accuses-jordan-espinosa-domestic-violence-during-fight\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MMA Junkie<\/a> on the matter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will not be commenting on Tim Elliott\u2019s accusations,\u201d Hamper said. \u201cIt is extremely unfortunate that an athlete who has no information of the situation is given a platform to recklessly slander another athlete with no credible information other than a (Facebook) message. It sets a dangerous precedent allowing this type of behavior to make headlines. Words matter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Elliott also discussed the incident post-fight, admitting he didn&#8217;t intend for anyone to hear.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">&#8220;I didn&#8217;t say that for anybody else to hear, because I don&#8217;t know the whole story,&#8221; he told reporters (via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2021\/03\/07\/ufc-fighter-tim-elliott-calls-opponent-jordan-espinosa-woman-beater-slander\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">TMZ Sports<\/a>). &#8220;&#8230;\u00a0That was supposed to be between him and I.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The serious nature of the allegations that have been made are quite clear in what has turned out to be one of the biggest stories stemming from UFC 259. On one hand some are disgusted that Elliott would use such information to try and get into his opponent&#8217;s head, whereas others felt this needs to see the light of day.<\/p>\n<p>Whatever the case may be, it&#8217;s a sour note after a fight that ended in an important win for Tim Elliott.<\/p>\n<p>What are your thoughts on the situation?
