Entering the fight, it is a very intriguing one, with many pundits torn on who will win. However, Edwards knows the UFC is hoping Chimaev is the one who wins.<\/p>\n<p id=\"9wwwSn\">\u201cI know the UFC\u2019s probably banking, Dana anyway, I know he\u2019s praying that this kid wins, but I\u2019ll be way too much for him in there, I\u2019m telling you,&#8221; Edwards said to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmafighting.com\/2020\/11\/11\/21561721\/leon-edwards-dana-white-praying-khamzat-chimaev-wins-but-im-going-to-smash-your-boy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">MMAFighting.<\/a> They\u2019ve done this before with other fighters. They\u2019d get one, two good wins in their career and the UFC kind of pushed them straight to the top, and then they get beat. Like in boxing, if you\u2019re a good prospect, they kind of build you slowly, make you learn the tricks of the trade and go through adversity. They\u2019ve done it to many other fighters you can name. It\u2019s not worked out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Khamzat Chimaev is a perfect 3-0 in the UFC and has dominated all his opponents. Yet, Leon Edwards believes he will turn the tides on the Swede as he tells Dana White he is going to smash his boy, just like Khabib Nurmagomedov did to Conor McGregor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s exactly how I feel, right,\u201d Edwards said. \u201cDana, I\u2019m going to smash your boy. I cannot wait. It\u2019s going to be a very good night come December.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Leon Edwards <a href=\"http:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/mma-news\/leon-edwards\/report-leon-edwards-turned-down-multiple-opponents-including-covington-and-neal-before-being-removed-from-rankings\/\">enters this fight on an eight-fight winning streak<\/a> but has not fought since July of last year when he defeated Rafael dos Anjos. During his run, he also has beaten the likes of Vicente Luque, Donald Cerrone, and Gunnar Nelson.
