Nick Diaz has responded to a recent accusation from Diego Sanchez, who claimed the former Strikeforce welterweight champ used to send him angry emails.<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, during an appearance on\u00a0Mike Swick\u2019s\u00a0Real Quick<\/em>\u00a0podcast<\/a>, Sanchez accused<\/a> Diaz of bombarding him with hateful emails, some of which even targeted his mother and father.<\/p>\n

\u201cMe and Nick Diaz hated each other,\u201d Sanchez claimed (via MMA Fighting<\/a>). \u201cNick Diaz used to send me e-mails. He found my e-mail, he talked to one of the MMA journalists at the time, there wasn\u2019t many. Gave him my e-mail and he would e-mail me hate mails.<\/p>\n

\u201cBad sh-t. Talking sh-t about my mom, talking sh-t about my dad, just trying to get under my skin with everything he had,” Sanchez added. “He hated me. He hated Ultimate Fighters because we got all that attention. He was in the spotlight at that time, he hated us and he hated me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite these accusations from Sanchez, Diaz has a different recollection of things. Speaking on his Instagram story, the former Strikeforce champ vehemently denied Sanchez’s comments.<\/p>\n

“I would never do this,\u201d Diaz wrote.<\/p>\n

While Diaz denies ever sending hate mail to Sanchez, there’s no denying that the two MMA pioneers had some ill will toward one another.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was on the show, and basically, he\u2019s got a huge background,\u201d Diaz said of Sanchez in a 2005 interview with Thomas Gerbasi of UFC.com <\/a>(h\/t Bloody Elbow<\/a>). “\u201cHe\u2019s got almost 20 wins and he\u2019s beaten some good people at jiu-jitsu, but he\u2019s fought at a heavier weight class \u2013 which means slower and dumber guys \u2013 or fought guys with no record that were easy to beat, or guys with a lot of tattoos and their hair dyed. He\u2019s beaten a lot of those type of guys and it just built his record up. The thing is, I don\u2019t think he\u2019s fought anybody really that great in fighting. They put him on that show with all these other guys that sucked \u2013 they were terrible.
