The Brazilian sensation is coming off the back of a huge submission victory over Alexander Gustafsson, and while he may be leaving the UFC, that doesn&#8217;t mean his future isn&#8217;t going to contain some exciting match-ups.<\/p>\n<p>During a recent interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmafighting.com\/2020\/8\/25\/21399786\/fabricio-werdum-welcomes-rematch-greatest-of-all-time-fedor-emelianenko-promises-first-round-finish\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">MMA Fighting<\/a>, Werdum made it clear that he&#8217;s interested in trying to beat Fedor for a second time &#8211; over a decade on from their first meeting.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Fedor Emelianenko vs Fabricio Werdum Full Fight [HQ]\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/QudKwfj9GUc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p id=\"dpETJk\">\u201cI respected Fedor for a long time,\u201d Werdum said. \u201cI never said bad things about him, never in my life. I respect him a lot. But I believe the rematch with him, it\u2019s history for the sport. When I beat him in 2010, I shocked the world, and maybe I shock the world again.<\/p>\n<p id=\"Re0Dum\">\u201cI believe I finish him in the first round again. I\u2019ll finish him quickly again, cause I\u2019m very confident. When I have the training and my mind is OK, I go in there and this is my life. I love fighting. I love to fight every time. Because he\u2019s a heavyweight for a long-time. He\u2019s a heavyweight. For sure, it\u2019s not happening now, but maybe, I love the idea, one day against Jon Jones. And it\u2019s not like I prep for him, I\u2019m just confident. 100 percent I finish Jon Jones. I finish Jon Jones too. 100 percent. I\u2019m confident, that\u2019s it. I\u2019m training. Good training, my mind\u2019s okay.
