UFC veteran and fan favorite Diego Sanchez is set to return to action at UFC 253 to take on Jake Matthews.<\/p>\n

Sanchez, who made his official debut for the promotion back in 2005, will make his 32nd walk to the Octagon as the eccentric New Mexico native tries to make it four wins in his last five fights.<\/p>\n

Matthews, on the other hand, will attempt to secure his sixth win in his last seven as his rise up through the ranks of the welterweight division continues.<\/p>\n

“The Celtic Kid” is one of many stars from Australia & New Zealand to compete on this card, with the main event featuring Israel Adesanya defending his Middleweight Championship against Paulo Costa.<\/p>\n
