Then, they seemed to form something of a friendship, and even partook in a sparring session together. More recently, however, their relationship has regressed, and Perry is now\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/mma-news\/ufc\/mike-perry-sends-a-warning-to-darren-till-following-win-over-mickey-gall-at-ufc-on-espn-12\/\">chomping at the bit<\/a>\u00a0for the chance to fight Till\u2014despite the fact that the Brit has moved up to the middleweight division.<\/p>\n<p>While Perry has recently given the impression that he truly loathes Till, his pre-fight message to the Brit seems to suggest the contrary.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on Twitter on Thursday, Perry claimed that he&#8217;s rooting for Till against Whittaker, but added that his predictions don&#8217;t usually pan out.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">I\u2019m rooting for you <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/darrentill2?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@darrentill2<\/a> , usually whoever I\u2019m rooting for loses tho &#x1f937;&#x1f3fc;&#x200d;&#x2642;&#xfe0f;&#x1f645;&#x1f3fc;&#x200d;&#x2642;&#xfe0f;<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Platinum Mike Perry (@PlatinumPerry) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PlatinumPerry\/status\/1286324362572967936?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 23, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I\u2019m rooting for you @darrentill2, usually whoever I\u2019m rooting for loses tho,&#8221; Perry wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Although Perry and Till have shared some serious animosity over the years, Till recently suggested all of the trash talk he&#8217;s sent toward his rival has been i<a href=\"http:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/mma-news\/ufc\/darren-till-responds-to-mike-perrys-eye-poke-threat-thats-not-going-to-happen\/\">n good fun<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think it\u2019s just cause he\u2019s got a new girl,\u201d Till said in a clip from BT Sport. \u201cThat\u2019s the fight game, isn\u2019t it? You have to be able to take it all on the chin, and he obviously can\u2019t. He\u2019s talking like next time he sees me, he\u2019s going to poke me in the eye or something.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t take offense to it,\u201d Till said. \u201cI hope he does well. I hope he gets the fights he wants. He\u2019s never going to fight me. I\u2019m fighting contenders, former champs.
