In turn, Jones went on a long rant against the promotion&#8217;s leader for &#8220;lying to the fans&#8221; about the potential numbers being thrown around for the failed Ngannou fight.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, Jones doubled up on his criticisms of the way the UFC has handled this situation. In a series of posts released on his <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JonnyBones\/status\/1266480111060054016\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Twitter<\/a>, Jones once again went off on White for his comments about pay, and this time, Jones asked for his release from the UFC.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">If you\u2019re going to stick to these lies, I\u2019m going to stick to defending myself.
