He has no fight lined up currently.<\/p>\n<p>There was talk of a trilogy fight between Jones and former UFC heavyweight champ Daniel Cormier. However, Cormier&#8217;s loss to Stipe Miocic at UFC 241 means he is likely focused on retirement as opposed to cutting weight for a light heavyweight bout against his adversary. Jones then teased the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmanews.com\/dana-white-names-whos-next-for-jon-jones\/\">possibility of a fight against Stipe Miocic.<\/a> However, Dana White extinguished any rumours that Jones would be fighting Miocic or Cormier. Instead, he said &#8216;Bones&#8217; would be fighting light heavyweight Jan Blachowicz.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think Jan. I think Jan looked good in his last performance,\u201d White told<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=zhtC9Fd_NQw&amp;t=537s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u00a0BT Sport<\/a>. \u201cAnd where he sits in the rankings, he\u2019s the man.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jan Blachowicz is currently ranked #5 in the light heavyweight rankings. In his last fight, he knocked out Luke Rockhold in the second round.<\/p>\n<p>Since White&#8217;s comments, The UFC has back-peddled and booked Blachowicz for a fight against<a href=\"http:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/mma-news\/ufc\/breaking-jacare-souza-moves-up-to-light-heavyweight-to-face-jan-blachowicz-at-ufc-sao-paulo\/\"> Jacare Souza at UFC Fight Night<\/a> on November 16 in S\u00e3o Paulo, Brazil.
