Darren Till has a decision to make.<\/p>\n

The long-time UFC welterweight contender has recently been hinting at a move up to the middleweight division, where he would endure a less taxing weight cut. That being said, he seems a little reluctant to leave the welterweight division he’s called home for so long.<\/p>\n

Till discussed his deliberation on this subject on MMA Fighting\u2019s\u00a0Eurobash<\/em>\u00a0podcast<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI haven\u2019t thought about it much,\u201d Till said (transcript via MMA Fighting<\/a>). \u201cLet\u2019s do middle, let\u2019s do welter\u2014let\u2019s do every f*cking weight because at the end of the day I\u2019m really not scared of any man.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s just good to fight all these top-level guys whether they\u2019re in the welterweight division, middleweight or wherever,” he added. “There\u2019s not one slouch inside that UFC Octagon; they\u2019re all top-level fighters. For me, it\u2019s not about a fresh start, it\u2019s about fighting these unbelievable guys and being one of those unbelievable guys, getting all the challenges every fight until the day I retire when I\u2019m 35.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Darren Till isn’t decided on his weight class moving forward, he does admit there would be less stress if he moved to middleweight.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt would be more like relaxation for my head because I wouldn\u2019t have to worry about the weight; the weight cut won\u2019t be as big because there would be a few less kilos to cut, which I think would be a big weight off my mind. Nothing is set in stone yet, so we\u2019ll see where the end of this year leads me,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Yet for the moment \u2014 and until he’s picked the setting of his next fight \u2014 Till says his focus is on making improvements to his game.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs I\u2019ve said, the only thing I\u2019m doing is cracking on with my training,” he said. “I\u2019m training very hard and I\u2019ve started doing a few extra things. I\u2019ve implemented a lot of swimming into my game. I\u2019ve been lifting a little bit of weights and I\u2019ve put on some size and I\u2019m trying to clean up the nutrition since there\u2019s no fight camp.”<\/p>\n
