Whether it&#8217;s to build interest in a fight or get under their opponent&#8217;s skin, many fighters seem to have embraced this verbal side of the game. UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker, however, has not.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on a recent episode of Submission Radio, Whittaker gave his take on all the trash talk in MMA. Everyone, especially in the MMA game, everyone wants to jump on each other, they want to shit on each other, they want to try to, instead of improving and building their own careers and improving the scene, improving the sport themselves, they\u2019d rather shit on everybody around them.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside id=\"yzOJNl\">\n<div class=\"c-read-more\">It&#8217;s not that Robert Whittaker strives to be a nice guy, he just doesn&#8217;t need to talk trash to get himself in the right headspace for a fight.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p id=\"AMVDhJ\">\u201cJust because I don\u2019t talk trash and I\u2019m not mouthy and I\u2019m not mouthing off like I\u2019m in the school yard, doesn\u2019t mean I don\u2019t take this for what it is,\u201d\u00a0Whittaker continued. \u201cI am doing everything in my power to break you, because we are going to go fight in an Octagon. I don\u2019t need to smack talk to get in that mind frame, I\u2019m already there. Like, we\u2019re gonna go fight to the death in so many months time and I\u2019m gonna give everything I have, I just don\u2019t smack talk though.
