But in the eyes of UFC President Dana White, there&#8217;s really no sense in debating it anymore. He believes reigning UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has irrefutable claim to that title \u2014 which is especially impressive considering the troubles he&#8217;s had outside the cage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis isn\u2019t about a dominant, dominant champion. This is about the greatest of all time,\u201d Dana White said in an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ffY2H1N3Am4&amp;t=768s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ESPN<\/a> (transcript via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmanews.com\/dana-white-remove-possibly-from-jon-jones-goat-argument\/\">MMA News<\/a>). \u201cWe\u2019re at a point now where, to keep saying, \u2018Oh, he could possibly\u2026.\u2019 He is. He\u2019s it. Jon Jones is it. Nightmare outside of the Octagon, nightmare for opponents inside the Octagon. And when you look at what this guy has been able to do, the fact that we can sit here\u2026I call him the greatest, you don\u2019t disagree, and most other people wouldn\u2019t, either, and the lifestyle that he\u2019s lived outside the Octagon is pretty amazing. I mean, this guy is a freak of nature. He\u2019s phenomenal. He\u2019s the best ever.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>While Jon Jones has had plenty of issues outside the Octagon, Dana White believes the champ is finally in a good head space \u2014 which is likely bad news for his opponents.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe beautiful thing with Jon Jones right now is that I think that mentally he\u2019s in a good place, he understands the mistakes he made, he sees the window closing,\u201d White said. \u201cAge gets us all. Father time is undefeated. So he\u2019s taking this very serious. He wants to get his name back. He wants to get the respect back from the fans and the people in the business back. And he\u2019s staying busy.
